Phase 1: MVP (Minimum Viable Product)

Basic Content Structure

  • Main categories: Places, Fauna, Flora.
  • Ability for the admin to add curiosities (simple backend).
  • Random display of curiosities (e.g., 5 per visit).

Interaction for Non-Authenticated Users

  • They can vote True/False for a limited number of curiosities (e.g., 4 or 5).
  • On the final question, they’re prompted to register/login to receive the explanation.

User Authentication

  • Simple login/signup forms (email and password).
  • Once authenticated, users can immediately see explanations after voting.

Backend & Admin Panel

  • Basic admin panel for creating, editing, deleting curiosities.
  • Storing basic stats (votes and validation counters).

Basic UI/UX

  • A simple, responsive interface focused on ease of navigation and showcasing content.

Key Goal of Phase 1:

  • Launch a functional product and gather initial user feedback on layout, content type, and any potential bugs.

Phase 2: Enhanced Content & Subcategories

Subcategories / Tags

  • For Fauna: Birds, Mammals, Reptiles, etc.
  • For Places: Jungle, Savanna, Coral Reefs, Desert, etc.
  • For Flora: Trees, Flowers, Mushrooms, etc.

Initial Badges

  • Example: Junior Ornithologist (≥ 5 curiosities about birds), Botanist, Marine Habitat Expert, etc.
  • Display badges in the user’s profile.

User-Generated Content (UGC)

  • Users can submit their own curiosities via a form (image, text, source).
  • Admin reviews/approves them before publication.

Feedback & Reporting System

  • Users can flag a curiosity as “inaccurate” or suggest improvements.
  • Use this feedback to moderate and enhance the content.

Improved Navigation

  • Dedicated pages for each category/subcategory.
  • Search or filter features (e.g., search “tiger” or “carnivorous plants”).

Key Goal of Phase 2:

  • Increase educational value, involve users more (through subcategories, new content, badges).
  • Start building community participation rather than just consumption.

Phase 3: Community & Social Features

Commenting & Voting

  • Once users see the explanation, they can post comments, reply to others, and vote comments up/down.

Detailed User Profiles

  • A dedicated user profile page showing:
    • Earned badges.
    • Current streak / total points.
    • Curiosities submitted by the user (approved or pending).

Advanced Moderation

  • Admins/moderators can hide inappropriate comments or ban abusive users.
  • Reporting functionality for offensive content.

Leaderboards

  • Weekly / monthly top users by correct answers, contributions, badges, etc.
  • Encourages competition and engagement.

Kid-Friendly Interface

  • Design suitable for young audiences (no inappropriate ads, child-friendly terminology, etc.).

Key Goal of Phase 3:

  • Build a thriving community around the educational content.
  • Increase social interaction and foster user loyalty.

Phase 4: AI Features & Advanced Multimedia

AI for Additional Information

  • A “Ask AI” button on each curiosity, providing extra details (e.g., more about a specific animal or habitat).
  • (Optional) AI that suggests related topics (e.g., “If you’re interested in lions, you might also like tigers.”)

Image Recognition (ML)

  • Allow users to upload a picture of a plant/animal. AI attempts to identify the species.
  • A high-value educational feature.

Videos & Streaming

  • Embedding short videos (YouTube or self-hosted) featuring documentaries or educational clips.
  • Live events (e.g., Q&A with a biologist).

Advanced Gamification

  • Daily/weekly quests: “Answer 3 curiosities in the Mammals subcategory to earn a new badge.”
  • Mini-games (matching animals to habitats, quick quizzes with a timer, etc.).

Partnerships & Community Outreach

  • Collaborations with wildlife conservation NGOs.
  • Joint campaigns (e.g., “For every 1,000 correct quiz answers by the community, we donate $X to endangered species protection.”)

Key Goal of Phase 4:

  • Evolve into a comprehensive educational experience enhanced by AI, multimedia, and beneficial partnerships.
